Boys Junior Varsity Lacrosse · JV Lacrosse Finishes Winning Season at 4-1

The CSS boys’ JV lacrosse team finished the season 4-1, adding another victory tonight with a 7-2 win over the JV team from Palmer H.S.  The boys in blue took an early lead and never looked back.  For seniors John N. and Estin N., today’s game concluded their sports careers for CSS.

Coaches Roger Tucker and Ian Pelto were thrilled with how the boys competed this year and look forward to having most of them back next year.  “It’s a fairly young team, but it’s a really good team,” commented Coach Tucker.  “This group has a lot of experience, stick skills, and speed — all components to a good team.”

Coach Pelto, a CSS alum, is leaving Colorado for a one-year master’s program in medicine at Tufts University next year, but he plans on returning to CSS to continue coaching the following year.  His insight and experience as a collegiate player helped to elevate the level of play for the Kodiaks this year.

“I’m very excited that lacrosse is back at CSS and am committed to keeping it going.  I’m already looking forward to returning and helping to build the program,” Pelto commented.  “It’s been fun coaching with Mr. Tucker and the boys have been so receptive.  It’s been a great experience.”
