Playing at Olin Field under the lights, the 2-1 Kodiaks put together a great team effort to shutout the Eagles of Evangelical Christian Academy Saturday night, 3-0. The first CSS goal was assisted by Ethan H. ’21 to his brother Andrew H. ’23 to start the shutout, leading 1-0 at the half. Junior Grayson G. scored the last two goals for the Kodiaks, one with an assist from his brother Henry G. ’22 and one unassisted.

The Kodiak defense was again solid with goalie Ty W. ’21 making several nice saves on the night, and Owen G. ’21, Grayson G. ’22, Graham B. ’22, and Theo M. ’23 protecting the backfield with fury.

“Tonight, we executed very well,” commented Head Coach Mark Perdew, “and when we subbed we did not lose momentum. I’m really enjoying this group of guys and appreciate their hard work and teamwork, especially how they support one another.”

CSS is back in action at Ellicott on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. A JV half will follow the varsity game. Go Kodiaks!
