The Colorado Springs School 4th 0

On a toasty September afternoon at Monument Valley Park, the Kodiaks had a stellar showing at the Cougar Classic hosted by Coronado High School. One of the largest meets of the season, the Cougar Classic draws hundreds of the state’s best runners to Colorado Springs every September. The girls’ team was led by Senior Captain Kate G. who propelled herself to a second-place finish in a talented field. Newcomers Autumn C. and Kylie C. gained valuable experience in their third-ever cross country race, finishing 2nd and 3rd for the Kodiaks, respectively. Their efforts helped the Kodiaks secure a 4th place finish. On the boys’ side, Orlando M. and Clay R. pushed each other to top-20 finishes within seconds of each other.
Come cheer on your Kodiaks as they tackle a creek crossing at our next competition on Saturday, September 27 at Cottonwood Creek Park.
