Tied 25-25 at the half, the Kodiaks were able to pull ahead after the break to secure the 64-53 win over Cripple Creek in the championship game of the Kodiak Classic. CSS was led by senior John N. who had a career high 19 points. MVP Luke T. ’20 followed with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Junior Kyle J. scored a career-high 11 points off the bench, and senior point guard Matt C. contributed 7 points and several assists. It was a good moral victory for CSS, winning the Kodiak Classic for the first time in many years. The 4-2 Kodiaks return to Black Forest Action action on Jan. 11 at Miami-Yoder, and at Peyton on Jan. 12.
