After a slow start, the Kodiaks scored 21 points in the second period to take a 23-16 point lead into the locker room, never looking back. The 45-28 win over FVS was sparked by a strong defensive effort, which then led to easy baskets to widen the margin. Junior Sarina M. scored her career high with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Sophomores Bailey R. and Whitney Richardi controlled the boards with 8 and 9 rebounds, along with 7 and 6 points from the paint. Guards Kate G. ’20 and Mia C. ’22 put the squeeze on defensively, collecting 5 steals a piece, along with 4 points for Kate. Alair F. had a basket and was 2-2 from the free throw line, collecting her season high of 4 points. Overall it was a balanced attack for the Kodiaks, who will play Cripple Creek for the championship game of the Kodiak Classic. Tip-off is 2:00 on Saturday at Tutt Field House. Go Kodiaks!
