With a quick bucket from Mia C. ’22 off the tip, the Kodiaks never looked back in a 61-16 victory over the Pikes Peak Christian School Eagles. A tenacious full court defense led to more quick points, helping CSS build a 38-8 lead at the half. Ball movement was a point of emphasis as was taking care of possessions. The girls only committed 15 turnovers on the night, which is their maximum allotment per game.

Senior Sarina M. led all scorers with 19 points, including 9 points from the 3-point line. Whitney R. ’21 scored a trey of her own and tallied 13 points. Guards Mia C. added 8 points along with freshman phenom Cameron R., who also contributed 8 points and several assists. Senior guard Kate G. created havoc with her defense and collected 5 points on the night. Other contributions were made by Bailey R. (4), Abrielle S. (2), and Shively K. (2).
The Kodiaks are back in action next Friday at home against Miami-Yoder. Go Kodiaks!
