After a quick goal by Ellicott to start the game, the boys in white fought back to take a 2-1 lead at half-time. Charlie B. ’25 struck first with a patient goal from 20 yards out, followed by Graham H. ’26 with an accurate strike. The second half was all Kodiaks with the ball in the Ellicott backfield the majority of the game.
Malakai W. ’25 attacked the goal for our third goal to start the half before the boys in purple struck again with a well-placed direct kick to make it 3-2. Within the final minutes, John B. ’24 sealed the victory for CSS with another goal after an assist by Jackson R. ’25
Coach Amos White stated, “The boys showed a lot of resilience after a slow start. I was impressed with how we distributed the ball and created many scoring opportunities. Our defense played a solid game as well.”
It was a game of good ball movement, passing, defense, and teamwork by all the Kodiaks. Xander T. ’24 was dominant in goal with numerous saves, and he scored the only goal in the B game for the Kodiaks. The B team lost 1-2 in another well-played contest. CSS is back in action next Monday at home against Atlas Prep at 4:00.
